It’s been three years since Breaking Bad left the world of television, but it remains harder than ever to separate Bryan Cranston from his role as iconic drug kingpin Walter White. Luckily for us, we’re getting something of a fix in the form of The Infiltrator, a film that sees Cranston return to the high-stakes world of drug deals.
Though as the just dropped trailer shows, this time Cranston’s one of the good guys. Set in the 1980’s, The Infiltrator concerns the sting that brought down infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar, ironically a similar subject matter to the equally binge-able show Narcos. Cranston portrays U.S. Customs agent Robert Mazur, who has been assigned the task of going undercover to take Escobar down. Rounding out the cast is John Leguizamo as his partner and Diane Kruger as a fellow undercover operative assigned to play his wife.
The film hits theaters this August, which should give you plenty of time re-watch both Breaking Bad and Narcos to prepare yourself for the general mayhem in store.
